This Diversity Impact Index considers the current initiatives that companies host to promote diversity within the workplace, within the community, as well as the level of relevancy diversity initiatives have on employees' professional satisfaction. We found an astounding 65% of our respondents believe inclusion and diversity in the workplace directly impacts their professional satisfaction on the job. This number is more than double the reported percent of workplaces that currently host diversity initiatives within the workplace (31%), though 1 in 2 report their employers run a diversity recruiting program or community events externally (52%). Currently, professional satisfaction through diversity seeking behaviors is the leading contributing factor in the Diversity Impact Index. Further increases will require workplaces to create more official programs both internally and externally.
