Supervisor, Business Leadership

Responsibilities:

  • Primary day-to-day contact and counsel to the client’s marketing staff, immersing in their business and fostering strong relationships with the clients
  • Adept at evaluating creative/media/idea recommendations in the context of the approved strategy
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns including digital, traditional, social, and experiential
  • Identifies and contributes to business building efforts among existing clients
  • Is ultimately responsible for account financial performance and reporting including recommendations to alter performance where appropriate
  • Works to improve agency workflow and process as appropriate
  • Administers performance reviews, establishes growth goals and provides opportunities for growth and fulfillment among support staff
  • Plays a contributing role in new business development when required
  • Leads any internal, ad hoc, initiatives that may arise
  • Fully engage and contribute to opportunities for brave ideas. Ideate with teams. Research what client has done in the past to learn from that would provide more success going forward.
  • Partner with Strategy on the development of a compelling creative brief. 
  • Lead creative kick-off. & participate in internal creative reviews. 
  • Ensure work is meeting client’s business objectives and is on-brand. 
  • Identify and share perspective on what is working well with the work and opportunities to amplify it. Identify and share potential gateways or roadblocks to selling the work. Identify opportunities to pre-sell the work.
  • Support production efforts, including best way to communicate estimating and contribute client needs and input proactively towards the pre-pro book development. Participate in daily status meetings to clear any obstacles for the team to stay on schedule as well as sharing client information that will help the team proactively anticipate future resource needs. 
  • Identify and seek out opportunities for new business with existing clients. Recognize opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell current offerings.
  • Supporting Content Development
  • Work with finance to track profitability and adjust as needed
  • Has a subject matter expertise and helps mentor peers in the areas, assists in training materials for the agency.
  • Draft case study scripts and collect data points.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of marketing/agency related experience and should be performing at a high level of proficiency
  • Experience on account management team at an advertising agency as an account manager/account executive/senior account executive
  • Solid integrated advertising and strategy experience from an advertising agency
  • B2B and/or Retail agency experience, a strong plus
  • Must have demonstrated excellent management and leadership skills
  • Effective at delegating assignments, management of staff, as well as client marketing programs
  • Enthusiastic about business beyond marketing
  • Collaborative leadership skills that encourage team cooperation and motivate relationship building
  • Confident in oral, written, strategic and analytical abilities
  • Ability to understand and contribute to the big picture strategic thinking, vision and insights to help drive big ideas and initiatives
