VP, Analytics

Here at Allen & Gerritsen, the current need calls for a radical individual with passion oozing from their very being to join our growing Analytics practice. We’re looking for someone to occupy the role of Vice President of Analytics, but we’ve got to say, we’re kind of picky. And we’re dead set on finding someone with a desire to tell stories with data, all in support of developing great work for our clients. We dig the type of people who can see beyond the mountains of data files, usual metrics, and obvious results. We want explorers, critical thinkers, and innovators to help drive our capability forward. Insights from our team are critical to identify new growth opportunities as much as they support amazing, creative ideas. As a member of our team, you will play a pretty pivotal role in leading client projects across a diverse portfolio of clients, verticals, and types of marketing analytics and business intelligence engagements.


  • Act as a lead performance architect for client projects, defining and guiding measurement strategies and solutions required to deliver insight success, learning agendas, and analysis and testing roadmaps
  • Conduct marketing performance analysis identifying statistically relevant connection points back to clients’ business performance utilizing advanced analytics techniques
  • Lead and mentor a team of diversely skilled analysts with their growth and development plans and in their successful deliver of insights and analysis to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the EVP in practice development and advancement, identifying opportunities for growth and implementation of new solutions that advance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
  • Lead operations elements of the team, including finding and deploying data management solutions to ensure the efficient delivery of project deliverables What a Typical Week May Look Like
  • Analyze the latest real-time performance of campaigns, communicating the trajectory relative to forecasts to key stakeholders, including optimization and experimentation ideas
  • Join a new business call, explaining A&G’s outcomes-driven process, through interactive workshops as well as through visualized concepts and case study examples
  • Guide a client early in the campaign development process as to what they should focus their analytics efforts on, from sharing a sound business case through to introducing new analytics solutions that maximize insight and learning potential
  • Brainstorm with other A&G colleagues on how to craft a high-impact content experience across multiple brand touchpoints, leveraging data to inform decision making
  • Meet with analysts to problem-solve, collaborate on applying concepts, evaluate performance results together, and guide them towards client and project growth opportunities
  • Advance the development of a new cutting-edge practice offering that can be developed into a valued service for our clients Skills Needed for Success:


  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Business or Finance
  • 10+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics or business analytics-related functions, preferably in an agency environment
  • Demonstrable success in delivering upon and exceeding client performance expectations for brand, experience or marketing campaigns
  • Deep experience in analysis and insight development in the following fields: Marketing contribution (to business performance, quantitative attribution methods) Forecasting and modeling (applying data-science principles to model/forecast design) ○ Paid/owned/earned analysis (holistic analysis encompassing all media channels) Experience analytics (ability to analyze all consumer touch points across an ecosystem) Research and testing (understanding of market research principles and test design/execution/analysis)
  • High level of comfort with data translation, successfully organizing, blending, and transforming disparate data sets into a cohesive database structure
  • Adept at fast-paced, evolving environments where problem and solution identification is about progress over perfection
  • Key platform experience: Statistical analysis tools (R, Python, SPSS, etc.) Ad-serving & DMP platforms (Google Campaign Manager/Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Salesforce, etc.) Web & business analytics solutions (Google Analytics, Adobe Marketing Suite, etc.) Data visualization and analysis software (Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, etc.) Social and audience intelligence tools (Pulsar, Synthesio, NetBase Quid, Sprinklr, Sprout, etc.) Business application tools (Google Sheets/Docs/Forms/Slides, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, etc.) Database translation and pipeline tools (BigQuery, MS SQL Server, Funnel, Improvado, etc.)  Relational database management systems & data warehouse (RDMS) (MS SQL Server, BigQuery, etc.)
