Account Supervisor
We are looking for a Supervisor, Business Leadership who is a leader, teacher, and mentor. Their role is as much about nurturing their subordinates as it is about serving the client. Supervisors are well-read marketing experts not only in their clients' business/categories but in the advertising industry as well.
Responsibilities:
- Primary day-to-day contact and counsel to the client’s marketing staff, immersing in their business and fostering strong relationships with the clients
- Adept at evaluating creative/media/idea recommendations in the context of the approved strategy
- Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns including digital, traditional, social, and experiential
- Identifies and contributes to business building efforts among existing clients
- Is ultimately responsible for account financial performance and reporting including recommendations to alter performance where appropriate
- Has a strong understanding of all aspects of the agency business
- Works to improve agency workflow and process as appropriate
- Administers performance reviews, establishes growth goals, and provides opportunities for growth and fulfillment among support staff
- Plays a contributing role in new business development when required
- Leads any internal, ad hoc, initiatives that may arise
Requirements:
- 5 – 7 years of marketing/agency related experience and should be performing at a high level of proficiency
- A degree or two, a masters wouldn't hurt
- Solid integrated advertising and strategy experience from an advertising agency
- B2B and/or Retail agency experience, a strong plus
- Must have demonstrated excellent management and leadership skills
- Effective at delegating assignments, management of staff, as well as client marketing programs
- Enthusiastic about business beyond marketing
- Collaborative leadership skills that encourage team cooperation and motivate relationship building
- Confident in oral, written, strategic and analytical abilities
- Ability to understand and contribute to the big picture strategic thinking, vision and insights to help drive big ideas and initiatives
