SEO/Content Strategy Intern

We’re looking for an intern to partner with our Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Content Strategy team across a variety of client and internal projects, spanning from research and auditing to reporting on data-driven insights. We’re passionate about storytelling with data and hope to work with like-minded people. Given how quickly things change in the worlds of content and search marketing, we hope to find someone who is a self-starter with a proactive and naturally curious mindset. Our internship program is a unique experience that will offer you hands-on client experience, as well as exposure to agency life and culture.  When you’re a part of our SEO & Content Strategy team, you’re one of us - actively participating and engaging with our colleagues and clients. This is a paid internship with flexible start and end dates. We love inquisitive thinkers who have a desire to collaborate and bring new ideas to life. Specifically, we’re looking for students who are savvy, intrigued by advertising and brand strategy, and have an insatiable curiosity when it comes to popular culture. Your Core Responsibilities

  • Support the growth of our SEO & Content Strategy practice through research, data exploration in organic search platforms, and through idea sharing for in-development frameworks.
  • Support reporting efforts, including the development of monthly/quarterly reports and one-off diagnostic reviews.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest news & trends in the SEO and content industries.
  • Research the latest trends in our clients’ industries to help inform SEO and/or content strategies, as necessary.
  • Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions by presenting articles, news/trends, and other insights related to your assigned projects and interest areas.
  • Get exposure to cross-functional teams. A&G has a highly collaborative culture so you’re encouraged and expected to work closely with other related teams like user experience (UX), customer experience (CX), technology, analytics & paid media.
  • Assist the SEO & Content Strategy team in the management and optimization of clients’ organic search performance and/or content programs.
  • Perform competitive research, as well as SEO and content-specific audits (e.g., technical SEO, backlink gap analyses, content inventories).

Your Requirements

  • Current College Junior or Senior standing 
  • Basic familiarity with SEO and/or content marketing 
  • Basic familiarity with web analytics tools
  • Positive attitude and a good sense of humor; outgoing and friendly personality
  • Passion to uncover new insights
  • Willingness to learn
  • Must be able to solve problems, follow instructions, and generate ideas
  • Demonstrate initiative and innovation in problem-solving and task management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage time appropriately - On time for work, meetings, and deadlines
  • Demonstrate 3:1 thinking. For every one challenge, share three creative solutions
  • Uncompromising attention to detail
  • Assume other agency responsibilities as directed by your manager
