BOSTON — September 15, 2020 — Allen & Gerritsen (A&G), an independent, creative-led advertising agency, today announced that it has named Martin (Marty) Mercado its newest vice president of strategy. Reporting to EVP of Strategy Monica Larusso, Mercado is based out of A&G’s Boston office and is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities of its strategy practice.
Marty Mercado joins A&G from Fast Horse in Minneapolis, where he served as an amplification strategy director for major consumer brands including Heineken USA, Dos Equis, Dunkin’ and General Mills. Prior to that, Mercado spent several years at Carmichael Lynch, where he worked as a senior strategist and brand planner for Subaru of America and Schwan’s Company.
“Marty’s experience is so valuable to our team, but what struck me was his passion to really understand and empathize with people. So much so that he’s made moves around the world to better understand a variety of cultures and he brings that experience to bear in his work every day,” said Monica Lorusso, EVP, strategy.
