An Interview with Andrew Graff, CEO, A&G: Disrupting Advertising’s Status Quo
04.17.26
What does it mean to disrupt the status quo from inside an industry you love? For A&G CEO Andrew Graff, it means rejecting hourly billing, betting on outcomes, and refusing to let legacy models define what an independent agency can be.
In an interview with Greg Wright, Senior Vice President at ANA, published ahead of the 2026 ANA Advertising Financial Management Conference, Andrew made the case that the advertising industry’s cracked foundation is its own compensation model. Hours spent is the wrong unit of measurement. Value created is the only one that matters.
He also pushed back on the overreliance on big data at the expense of human truth, arguing that what attracts, converts, and keeps consumers is making their lives better, not engineering synthetic relationships that consumers reject the moment something more authentic comes along.
The interview covers fixed pricing, behavioral science, the agency ampersand philosophy, and why now is the moment for independent agencies to show the industry a better way forward.
